Job Overview

Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to become a vital part of our organization. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Incident Detection and Response:
    • Continuously monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to identify and react to security incidents promptly.
    • Conduct comprehensive investigations into security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
    • Formulate and execute incident response strategies and protocols to reduce risks and lessen impacts.
  2. Risk Assessment and Management:
    • Carry out regular risk assessments and penetration testing on networks, systems, and applications.
    • Identify security vulnerabilities, risks, and deficiencies in the infrastructure and suggest corrective measures.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to implement patches, updates, and configurations to address vulnerabilities.
  3. Compliance and Security Controls:
    • Establish and enforce security policies, controls, and procedures to safeguard IT systems and data.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry benchmarks, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO).
    • Conduct security evaluations, risk assessments, and training sessions for staff.
  4. Security Architecture:
    • Design and deploy security solutions and architectures that align with business goals and mitigate risks.
    • Assess and recommend security technologies, tools, and services to strengthen our security posture.
    • Work alongside IT architects and engineers to integrate security measures into IT systems and applications.
  5. Incident Management:
    • Lead and coordinate response efforts for security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
    • Document security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and derive lessons learned for ongoing improvement.
    • Effectively communicate with stakeholders and management regarding incident status and resolutions.
  6. Security Awareness:
    • Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization through training programs and workshops.
    • Inform employees about security policies, procedures, and best practices to cultivate a security-focused environment.
    • Conduct phishing simulations and other security awareness activities to improve employee preparedness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, IT Security Specialist, or in a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, architecture, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
