A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT ENGINEER:
- You develop our projects on paper by managing essential documentation such as submittals, closeouts, RFIs, change orders, safety protocols, and daily logs.
- You oversee the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- You address inquiries from superintendents, project managers, owners, subcontractors, architects, and construction managers.
- You collaborate with team members both in the office and on-site.
YOU POSSESS [CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE] AND:
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Technical expertise; you can interpret and analyze detailed technical specifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills; you can negotiate, inspire, and communicate effectively.
- High self-motivation; you proactively seek innovative solutions and creatively resolve challenges.
- Experience in long-lead procurement and its coordination with a project's master schedule.
- A sense of urgency for results tempered by a commitment to accuracy and quality.
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience in construction project administration.
- Excellent communication skills across various channels.
- Familiarity with Procore software.
- Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) Certification for conducting routine and storm event jobsite inspections.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; or a B.A. in another field with 2-3 years of construction experience.
