About the Role
Silver Creek Materials is in search of a Bilingual Customer Service Ambassador who embodies a proactive attitude and a commitment to service excellence. The ideal candidate will possess self-motivation and the ability to operate independently while managing a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and will report directly to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, clear, and professional manner as they utilize the facility.
- Direct customer traffic to designated dumping areas in accordance with site protocols.
- Provide prompt responses to customer inquiries and management requests.
- Maintain a positive demeanor while engaging with customers and colleagues.
- Analyze challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Support customers with on-site issues, including vehicle troubles and directional assistance.
- Assist in positioning trucks accurately for efficient operations.
- Familiarize yourself with product placement and recycling zones to guide customers effectively.
- Reduce errors through clear communication with customers and internal teams.
- Utilize various communication methods (email, phone, instant messaging, and radio) to interact with customers, loaders, dispatchers, and supervisors.
- Ensure a safe environment for both customers and team members.
- Conduct routine inspections of the site daily.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Possess a friendly, energetic, and engaging personality.
- Ability to operate light machinery, such as a pickup truck with a trailer.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Self-driven with a strong work ethic aimed at surpassing both company and personal objectives.
- Experience with Point of Sales Systems in a retail context is preferred.
- Experience in providing customer service via multi-line phone systems.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to assist colleagues in their duties.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Dependability and receptiveness to direction are crucial.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills are beneficial.
- Compliance with background checks and Drug-free Workplace Policy is mandatory.
- Adherence to safety regulations as established by the Company and OSHA/MSHA is required.
