POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an IT Systems Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of our Information Technology systems. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of various IT infrastructures and support services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the deployment, troubleshooting, and upkeep of IT systems.
  • Oversee IT system infrastructure and related processes.
  • Manage daily operations, monitoring, and resolution of issues for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile technology.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Facilitate communication of status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the dispatch system and address hardware issues while remaining engaged in the resolution process.
  • Configure and administer UNIX and Windows operating systems, ensuring integrity and performance enhancements.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Experience in Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to manage daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems.
  • Provide user assistance in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization through capacity analysis and planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Deliver detailed analysis and feedback for escalated support tickets.
  • Support the design and architecture of systems and associated hardware.
  • Understand system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Analyze and resolve intricate issues related to server hardware and software integration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in similar programs and contracts.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
