Position Overview:
Join Cole Engineering as a Cybersecurity Systems Support Technician. We are currently in search of dedicated individuals to provide technical support to users on the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform. Your key responsibilities will involve addressing user inquiries, documenting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with operational service standards.


In this capacity, you will be tasked with monitoring reported issues, performing in-depth research, and troubleshooting using product documentation to deliver effective solutions.

You will also be expected to offer guidance on resolving issues and escalate matters as necessary.


Additionally, you will assist in facilitating software upgrades, configuring user profiles, and managing user accounts to ensure prompt responses and high-quality service delivery.

This position is full-time and requires on-site presence.

Core Responsibilities:

As a member of the platform support team, you will utilize Jira Service Manager tools and vSphere to oversee and maintain the PCTE platform, ensuring optimal performance.

This role operates during the day shift, Monday through Friday.

You will manage the creation of user accounts, address platform-related issues raised by users, and ensure timely resolutions. Furthermore, you will incorporate user feedback to drive continuous improvements in the customer experience. This comprehensive support will cover systems classified under Unclassified, Sec/REL, and Top-Secret security levels.

Essential Skills:
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment and support stakeholders.
Exhibit meticulous attention to detail when entering user information to ensure accuracy, thereby minimizing the need for corrective actions.
Ability to analyze real-world challenges and implement solutions in accordance with corporate guidelines, industry best practices, and established procedures.
Provide professional-level support for virtual environments, network functions, and other technical challenges.
Show adaptability to meet customer needs and requirements effectively.

Preferred Skills:
The ideal candidate should be flexible in their work schedule, including the ability to work various shifts and weekends.
Support the configuration, execution, and troubleshooting of virtual environments created by users within PCTE.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Identity Management (IdM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

Engage proficiently with vendors, users, customers, and developers to understand evolving needs and operational requirements impacting the production environment to deliver comprehensive solutions.


Required Education/Experience:


A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as IT, computer science, systems, or software engineering from an accredited institution.

(5 years of experience may substitute for degree)
8570 Compliant IAT Level II or higher. Security+, CISSP, or other equivalent certification required within six months of hire.

Additional Requirements:
In accordance with government contract specifications, eligibility for this position requires U.S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance. Specific security clearance requirements will be detailed in the Government's Task Order.
