General Overview:

The Junior Cybersecurity Systems Analyst will engage in activities related to the development, maintenance, and sustainability of the network accreditation framework for the secure Digital Integration Laboratory (DIL). This role adheres to the current Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) security protocols and regulatory standards. The individual will be responsible for securing and upholding the network's Authority to Operate (ATO) for the DIL by successfully completing the recurring re-accreditation process every three years under RMF guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist in the design, testing, operation, and deployment of secure operating systems, networks, and database solutions.

+ Support risk evaluations and provide suggestions for enhancements in security processes.

+ Contribute to a variety of cybersecurity challenges, including architectures, firewalls, data traffic management, and network access control.

+ Participate in assessments of the security posture of systems.

+ Engage in security testing to validate the cybersecurity integrity of systems.

+ Involved in integrating architectural features into existing infrastructures.

+ May assist in resolving integration and testing challenges.

+ Support encryption, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments of various security technologies and IT security research.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

+ A minimum of four years of relevant experience.

+ Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

+ Active Security+ CE or another current baseline IAM 1 certification as outlined by the DoD.

+ Proficient in creating and entering RMF Package documentation artifacts into the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) system, including system scans, System Security Plans, implementation reports, and Plans of Action & Milestones (POAMs).

+ Familiarity with reviewing the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

+ Experience in evaluating DoD-sourced RMF directives and guidance, applying them to program systems and Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) notifications.

+ Background in Cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management Framework, or related fields.

+ Knowledge of implementing RMF guidelines on systems in accordance with NIST 800-53v4 controls and other DoD/Army regulatory requirements.

+ Strong operational excellence and mission focus, with adept problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

+ Capable of clearly presenting and communicating technical approaches and findings.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Current/Active SECRET Security Clearance.

+ Master’s Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

+ Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

+ Experience in reviewing the implementation of STIGs for Windows-based systems and CISCO networks.

+ Familiarity with the setup and operation of NESSUS/ACAS scanning tools.

+ Knowledge of the RMF accreditation process, including the annual requirements for the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

+ Experience with the Army Endpoint Security System (AESS) application and client operations.

+ Background in supporting security monitoring and incident response services.

+ Proficient with DoD-sourced system vulnerability assessment tools and the implementation of STIG policies.

+ Experience in security audit log analysis.
