Overview:

The Junior Cybersecurity Systems Analyst will engage in tasks related to the development, upkeep, and enhancement of the network accreditation status for the secure Digital Integration Laboratory (DIL), adhering to the latest DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) security directives and regulatory standards. This role is crucial for securing and maintaining the network's Authority to Operate (ATO) by successfully completing the mandatory three-year re-accreditation process under RMF protocols. The selected candidate will assist in monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to incidents as part of the DIL management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, testing, operation, and deployment of secure operating systems, networks, and database solutions.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and provide recommendations for enhancements to security processes.
  • Engage in various cybersecurity matters, including system architectures, firewalls, data traffic management, and network access controls.
  • Participate in evaluations of the security posture of systems.
  • Contribute to security testing efforts to validate the cybersecurity integrity of systems.
  • Involve in the integration of security features into existing infrastructures.
  • Assist in resolving integration and testing challenges.
  • Support encryption efforts, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments of diverse security technologies and IT security research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Possession of an active Security + CE certification or another recognized baseline IAM 1 certification as per DoD standards.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management Framework, or related fields is essential.
  • Demonstrated operational excellence with a focus on mission success; strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in articulating and presenting technical strategies and findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience in security monitoring and incident response services.
  • Familiarity with security audit log analysis.
