Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Information Systems Security Officer for various Acquisition Program Integrated-Product Teams (IPT) and/or Research Development Test and Engineering Laboratories.
- Provide guidance to fellow Cybersecurity professionals within the IPT/Labs to ensure that information systems (IS) or platform information technology (PIT) systems comply with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy Cybersecurity policies and directives.
- Ensure that Cybersecurity requirements are thoroughly integrated into all stages of acquisition, enhancement, or modification programs, encompassing initial design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations/support.
- Formulate strategies for the assessment and authorization of information or platform IT systems, evaluate assessments, suggest necessary corrective measures when issues are identified, and prepare required documentation.
- Oversee the creation, review, endorsement, and maintenance of Cybersecurity documentation for assessment and approval in accordance with DoD and Department of the Navy (DON) policies for all applications, networks, and standalone systems.
