Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable entity, supporting independently incorporated affiliates that manage health centers nationwide. The Planned Parenthood Action Fund serves as our advocacy and political arm, engaging in educational initiatives, grassroots organizing, and legislative advocacy to promote reproductive health rights.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Manager of Operating Strategy. This position will report directly to the Director of Operating Strategy within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy. The office is dedicated to enhancing the operational strategy of PCA, focusing on optimizing our processes, budget management, and overall product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accountability and Budget Management

  • Oversee the financial operations for the PCA Senior Leadership Team, ensuring accurate expense tracking.
  • Develop and maintain systems to monitor accountability metrics, including key performance indicators and progress reports.
  • Administer real-time budget tracking and financial operations, including contract management and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to execute PCA's budgetary processes on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Act as a liaison between the Finance Division and PCA, ensuring compliance with financial governance.
  • Assist PCA leaders with budgetary inquiries and navigation.

Project Management of PCA Initiatives

  • Manage PCA's professional development program, including budget oversight and communication strategies.
  • Evaluate and enhance departmental systems to minimize burnout and streamline processes.
  • Provide project management support for high-priority advocacy campaigns as needed.
  • Coordinate successful PCA events to foster community and connection within the division.
  • Support various initiatives and projects as directed by the Director of Operating Strategy and Managing Director.

Engagement and Collaboration

  • Assist PCA senior leaders with administrative needs, primarily related to expenses.
  • Enhance divisional processes through collaborative analysis and execution, aiming for improved operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental coordination throughout the PCA division.
  • Work with affiliates and external partners to optimize PCA's operational strategy.
  • Provide project and systems management expertise to OSVP leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in project management or consulting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in budget management is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting senior executives with complex schedules is desirable.
  • Strong discretion and confidentiality, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritize tasks as necessary.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of navigating complex organizational landscapes.

Travel Requirements: Minimal domestic travel (0-5%).
