Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable entity that supports independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates across the United States. The Planned Parenthood Action Fund functions as an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization, serving as the advocacy and political arm of PPFA. The Action Fund engages in educational initiatives, advocacy, and electoral activities, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Position Overview:

PPFA and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund are in search of a strategic systems architect with extensive project management expertise. This role reports directly to the Director of Operating Strategy within the Office of the Senior Vice President, focusing on Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy Division. The Office of the Senior Vice President is responsible for driving the operational strategy of PCA, overseeing shared services, and concentrating efforts on personnel, processes, budget, and product.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight and Accountability

  • Manage expenses for the PCA Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and maintain systems to monitor accountability metrics, including key performance indicators and progress reports.
  • Oversee financial operations and real-time budget tracking for the Office of the Senior Vice President, including contract management and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to execute PCA's budgetary processes on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Act as a liaison between the Finance Division and PCA, ensuring financial governance is upheld.
  • Assist PCA leaders with ad hoc budgetary inquiries.

Project Management for PCA Initiatives

  • Oversee PCA's professional development program, including budget and communications.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Operating Strategy, assess existing departmental systems to identify and implement new processes aimed at reducing burnout and inefficiencies.
  • Provide project management support for high-priority advocacy campaigns as necessary.
  • Manage budget and execution of PCA events to foster a sense of community across divisions.
  • Support various OMD initiatives and projects as directed by leadership.

Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Assist with administrative needs for PCA senior leaders, particularly in managing expenses.
  • Enhance divisional processes through analysis and collaboration to improve operational efficiency.
  • Promote cross-departmental coordination within the PCA division.
  • Work with affiliates and external partners to optimize PCA's operational strategy.
  • Collaborate with OSVP leaders, providing expertise in project and systems management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in project management or consulting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with budget management is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to support multiple senior leaders with complex schedules.
  • Strong discretion and confidentiality; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt priorities while remaining flexible and collaborative.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate leaders' needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills to navigate a complex organizational landscape.

Travel Requirements: Minimal domestic travel (0-5%).
