Financial Strategy Advisor

Empirical is on the lookout for a Financial Strategy Advisor, a crucial position within our organization. The successful candidate will engage in assessing and enhancing management practices and protocols concerning robust internal controls while proposing and implementing process enhancements. The ideal individual will possess experience in federal financial management and have the ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile substantial volumes of financial data. The Opportunity

The Financial Strategy Advisor will be an integral part of a high-performing team dedicated to identifying, designing, and executing improved processes that revolutionize reporting functions by delivering internal controls, financial systems, and program operations support.
  • Assist clients in optimizing their accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Provide guidance to clients on technical accounting and internal control issues.
  • Implement technical solutions to enhance fiscal management activities.
  • Support financial statement compilation and reporting initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and innovative strategies to fulfill project requirements.
  • Engage in team problem-solving efforts and contribute ideas to address client challenges.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of work products.
  • Contribute to proposal development as necessary.
  • Actively enhance consulting skills and professional growth through training, mentoring, and daily client interactions.
  • Support ad hoc requests, including researching relevant accounting/auditing topics, developing and reviewing position papers, and providing integration support.
  • Identify methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial business processes.
  • Assist clients in evaluating projects and programs to identify risks and help develop, implement, and monitor mitigation strategies.
  • Review deliverables for precision and quality.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting-related experience in federal financial management, supporting financial statement audit activities.
  • At least 1 year of experience with CGI Momentum financial, acquisition, and budget solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • US Citizenship with the capacity to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
