Job Summary

Stony Brook University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of full-time administrative experience, with a strong background in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including coordinating interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Provide support for HR-related tasks, such as benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to resolve employee conflicts and issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least two years of full-time administrative experience, with a strong background in Human Resources.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems, including recruitment and benefits administration.
