Job Summary
Stony Brook University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of full-time administrative experience, with a strong background in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including coordinating interviews and onboarding new employees.
- Provide support for HR-related tasks, such as benefits administration and employee relations.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to resolve employee conflicts and issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of full-time administrative experience, with a strong background in Human Resources.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems, including recruitment and benefits administration.
