Family Time Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Time Coordinator to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services. As a Family Time Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Oregon's most vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and document information from caseworkers, children, parents, relatives, and other relevant resources to plan family time visits.
- Review family time agreements and guidelines with parents and caregivers, suggesting community resources as needed.
- Supervise family time in an office or community setting, documenting relevant information to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
- Assist with transporting children to family time visits and other necessary appointments.
- Collaborate with caseworkers to assess the details of family time supervision and recommend services needed for case planning.
- One year of experience assisting professionals in specialized social programs, or
- Possession of a current certification in child development, early childhood education, or juvenile corrections, or
- 45 quarter hours, or 30 semester hours of college coursework in sociology, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field, or
- An associate degree in a field not closely related to social work/human services and six months of human services-related experience.
- Community engagement experience, building collaborative relationships with community partners, agency staff, clients, and impacted communities.
- Strong written communication skills, capturing precise verbal exchanges and observations using plain language.
- Trauma-informed practices experience, adopting approaches that consider individual needs, safety, trust-building, and cultural sensitivity.
- Cultural competence experience, collaborating with diverse groups while working to understand and respect their values, beliefs, behaviors, and communication styles.
