Job Title: Family Time Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Time Coordinator to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services. As a Family Time Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Oregon's most vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Time Planning: Collaborate with caseworkers to plan and coordinate family time visits, ensuring the best interests of the child are met.
  • Supervision and Support: Supervise family time in a safe and supportive environment, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with caseworkers, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Assist with transporting children to family time visits and other necessary appointments.

Requirements:

  • Experience: One year of experience assisting professionals in social programs, or possession of a current certification in child development or a related field.
  • Education: 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours of college coursework in sociology, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Essential Attributes: Community engagement, written communication, trauma-informed practices, and cultural competence.
