Job Description

SEC Reporting Specialist

The SEC Reporting Specialist will be responsible for preparing and filing financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines. This role requires a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and file all SEC-required documents, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and other registration statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SEC regulations.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and consistency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant financial reporting standards. Ensure that the company's financial reports are in compliance with these standards.
  • External Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Work Environment: The SEC Reporting Specialist role requires to be within a commutable location to Cleveland, OH, and the work can be done mostly remotely, with some visits to their Cleveland office. Pay $80 - $100 depending on experience.
