**Job Summary**

Charger Logistics is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Maintenance to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a world-class asset-based carrier, we specialize in delivering assets on time and on budget. Our diverse fleet of equipment enables us to handle a range of freight, including dedicated loads, specialized hauls, temperature-controlled goods, and HAZMAT cargo.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop strategies to support maintenance teams at different terminals, ensuring seamless execution and compliance across our network.
  • Lead and implement programs to benefit the company in all maintenance-related areas, including reducing breakdowns and repair costs.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure consistent execution and compliance for a network that includes shops in the US and Canada.
  • Responsible for the strategic oversight and alignment of the corporation's maintenance functions, including leadership and execution of all programs, policies, and procedures related to rolling stock, equipment parts procurement, and general maintenance.
  • Develop programs to reduce costs and over-the-road breakdowns.
  • Establish and set up Preventative Maintenance Plans in the system, including time-based maintenance.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming pre-planned work and ensure work orders are generated, processed, and scheduled.
  • Supervise and lead all maintenance processes, controlling maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory control, and outsourcing of repairs.
  • Adhere to and be aware of all DOT and related rules and regulations.

**Requirements**

  • 7+ years of maintenance management experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the maintenance planning process.
  • Knowledge of DOT and other related rules and regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of warranty repairs, maintenance, parts management, and best practices in continuous improvement processes.
  • Related experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to function independently with little or no supervision, as well as function in a team environment.
  • Experience working in the transportation industry would be an asset.
  • Related college or university degree is an asset.
