Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Director to join our team at Lakewest Assisted Living in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, equipment, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for major equipment, including HVAC, ice machines, plumbing systems, and water heaters.
  • Perform repairs and replacements to equipment and the physical facility as necessary.
  • Oversee related vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Maintain and monitor related budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory codes and guidelines, including fire and life safety regulations.
  • Ensure the outside of the property is maintained, including monitoring of landscaping and snow removal companies, where necessary.
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in institutional maintenance.
  • Previous long-term care/healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of long-term care Life Safety Code requirements preferred.
  • Basic technology skills, including computer, website, and mobile phone usage.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and other related systems.
  • Basic carpentry and hardware knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
  • Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred.
