Job Summary

Lakewest Assisted Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our building, equipment, and utilities are maintained in accordance with our policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for major equipment, including HVAC, ice machines, plumbing systems, and water heaters.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements as needed to equipment and the physical facility.
  • Oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Maintain and monitor related budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory codes and guidelines, including fire and life safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for landscaping and snow removal services as needed.
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in institutional maintenance.
  • Previous long-term care/healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of long-term care Life Safety Code requirements preferred.
  • Basic technology skills, including computer, website, and mobile phone usage.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and other related systems.
  • Basic carpentry and hardware knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
  • Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred.
