Veterinary Customer Service Representative / Receptionist

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), your role will include:

  • Understanding and communicating the services offered by the hospital to current and potential clients.
  • Welcoming clients and their pets, ensuring a comfortable experience in our facility.
  • Gathering and documenting essential information about pets and their needs using our management software.
  • Coordinating the flow of clients and pets to optimize the efficiency of our veterinary team.
  • Responding to client inquiries and providing initial assessments to determine their needs.
  • Scheduling appointments and follow-up visits in collaboration with veterinary staff.
  • Assisting clients at the conclusion of their visits by providing necessary information and invoices.
  • Handling payment transactions and managing cash flow accurately.
  • Addressing customer concerns with professionalism and courtesy, working towards satisfactory resolutions.
  • Encouraging a collaborative environment that ensures high-quality care for pets.
  • Adhering to all operational policies and quality standards.
  • Performing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing excellent support.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all responsibilities.

Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary, healthcare, or customer service roles is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular communication and the ability to use a computer for extended periods. Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs. unassisted. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
