Position Overview:
The Patient Care Assistant in the Float Pool is an essential role within our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering compassionate and culturally sensitive care to patients across various departments.

Department Summary:
The Float Pool at Cambridge Health Alliance is committed to providing high-quality nursing support, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care tailored to their individual needs. Our team members are adaptable and skilled, ready to assist in multiple units as required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a nursing assistant, or completion of two clinical rotations in a nursing program, or an approved nursing assistant training program.
- Equivalent experience may be considered based on the discretion of the Chief Nursing Officer or designee.
