Job Summary

McLean Hospital, a leading psychiatric hospital, is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a therapeutic milieu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide individual and group counseling to patients, adhering to their treatment plans and promoting their overall well-being.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, including encounter forms and shift notes.
  • Therapeutic Milieu: Collaborate with patients to establish and maintain a safe and supportive environment, promoting their emotional and psychological growth.
  • Leadership: Participate in leading and co-leading patient groups, providing direction and supervision as needed.
  • Medication Administration: Supervise patients in taking medication as prescribed, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Activities of Daily Living: Assist patients in maintaining their daily routines, including sleep patterns and appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required; one year of patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Certifications: Medication Administration Program Certification (SELECT PROGRAMS ONLY); basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records.
