Position Title: Patient Care Assistant - Float Pool

Overview:

The Patient Care Assistant in the Float Pool plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and culturally aware nursing support. This position involves working across various departments, providing essential care to patients while adapting to the dynamic needs of the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Participate in maintaining the standards and policies of the Nursing Service.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a nursing assistant, or equivalent experience as determined by the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Enrollment in a nursing program with completion of two clinical rotations, or completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
