Overview:

Join a leading Train Manufacturer as a pivotal figure in quality management, representing the company while overseeing a substantial production operation.


Position Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Manager who possesses a robust background in large-scale production environments. This role is integral to the senior leadership team, ensuring accountability in production processes during an exciting phase of new train introductions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of five inspectors, while indirectly overseeing the broader engineering team.
  • Act as the primary liaison between production and engineering, addressing issues and facilitating communication.
  • Serve as the customer-facing representative for high-value products, engaging with end users to resolve any concerns.
  • Maintain and enhance quality standards, ensuring compliance and safety while navigating operational complexities.


Compensation:
Competitive salary up to £65,000.

Newport.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in production management within a large-scale manufacturing setting.
  • Proven people management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence in customer-facing roles.
  • Degree qualification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Formal training in ISO auditing is advantageous.
