Position Summary:

The Market Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in the commercialization of an extensive range of innovations by engaging in market intelligence initiatives that evaluate the potential of emerging medical technologies. This role primarily focuses on biopharmaceutical therapeutics and diagnostic advancements.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare market analysis, financial assessment, business modeling, or technology commercialization. An advanced degree may compensate for up to two years of experience.
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of the medical technology landscape and healthcare market dynamics.
  • Is adept at managing large datasets, particularly in Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the commercialization of a diverse portfolio of innovations through market intelligence activities that assess the feasibility of new medical technologies.
  • Conduct market research to deliver timely and precise insights for evaluating business opportunities across a wide range of intellectual property.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data from both primary and secondary sources to develop sales models, target market profiles, demographic analyses, competitive technology assessments, pricing strategies, and investment benchmarks.
  • Perform prior art searches and evaluate patentability.
  • Create reports, presentations, and informational briefs to convey market research findings and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in strategic planning and support operational decision-making for portfolio technologies and companies.
  • Execute additional duties as required.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Biomedical Engineering, Physical or Life Sciences, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Certifications:

  • No specific certifications are required.

Complexity of Work:

  • This role demands critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of specific needs and the application of subject matter expertise.
  • Must be capable of functioning effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, normal or corrected vision, and manual dexterity to perform tasks on a personal computer are necessary.
  • Ability to walk to various locations for meetings is required.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is between $27.65 and $42.17. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for new hires, with final pay determined based on individual qualifications, experience, and education, in addition to the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package.
