Position Summary:

The Market Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role in the commercialization of a diverse range of innovations by engaging in market intelligence activities that evaluate the feasibility of emerging medical technologies. This role primarily focuses on biopharmaceutical therapeutics and diagnostic innovations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in areas such as healthcare market analysis, financial assessment, business modeling, or technology commercialization. An advanced degree may compensate for up to two years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of medical technology and trends within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficient in managing large datasets, particularly in Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the commercialization of a wide array of innovations through market intelligence activities.
  • Conduct market research to deliver timely and precise insights for evaluating business opportunities across a substantial portfolio of intellectual property.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data from both primary and secondary sources to develop sales models, target market profiles, demographic analyses, competitive technology assessments, pricing strategies, and investment benchmarks.
  • Perform prior art searches and evaluate patentability.
  • Create reports, presentations, and briefs to communicate market research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Engage in strategic planning and support operational decision-making for portfolio technologies and associated companies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Certifications:

  • No certifications are required.

Work Environment:

  • This role necessitates critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding specific needs and applying subject matter expertise is essential.
  • Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and responding appropriately.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, normal or corrected vision, and manual dexterity for computer use are required.
  • Ability to walk to various locations for meetings is necessary.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is between $27.65 and $42.17, reflecting the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education, and does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package.
