Job Overview:

Sugarhill Apparel is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Wholesale Sales Representative to actively manage our current clients' needs in addition to expanding and pursuing new leads to help grow our national distribution network. As a Wholesale Sales Representative, you will work with retail buyers and store owners to facilitate the sale and purchase of our in-house brands: Sugarhill Apparel and Gala Original.

Responsibilities:
  • Contact regular and prospective clients to showcase collections, explain styles and designs, and obtain pre-book and at-once orders.
  • Strategically recommend products based on customers' past history, needs and interests.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding styles, collections, pricing, availability, shipping dates, payment options, and more.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of account and client patterns, past history, actions, circumstances and outcomes.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals for each collection, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
  • Consistently identify and pursue new accounts within assigned states/territories to expand the distribution.
  • Continually adapt and innovate creative strategies to increase sales to active clients, reactivate dormant accounts and identify new prospects.
Requirements:
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Accomplished relationship builder with the ability to achieve genuine interactions with a diverse client base.
  • Proven track record in wholesale sales within the fashion industry (preferred, but not required).
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Highly organized with an elevated attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace Applications (Sheets, Docs, etc.).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for sales road trips and trade shows.
  • Strong understanding of the fashion culture, market, trends and customer preferences.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Fashion or a related field (preferred).
  • Fashion sales experience is encouraged but not required.
  • Wholesale sales experience is encouraged but not required.
