Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs across our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing manufacturing processes and develop sustainable business process improvements.
  • Apply improvement initiatives across all functional areas of the business.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training, and workshops to drive cultural change.
  • Assist in training and skill enhancements for all employees with respect to continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Participate in providing technical expertise and implement lean principles, techniques, and methods.
  • Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement Plan in coordination with site leadership.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Schedule, lead, and track the sustainment of Kaizen events.
  • Apply lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, TPM, LSW, and TPI.
  • Provide expertise when recommending solutions to problems and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure a high level of focus on safety when implementing improvement ideas.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma/GED plus four (4) years relevant experience and appropriate certifications may be substituted for meeting educational requirements only.

Requires three (3) years of lean manufacturing experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Possesses a positive professional image and a high level of ethical behavior in exercising consistent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions and matters of significance.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and managerial skills with the ability to direct, energize, motivate, train, coach, assess, evaluate, and develop teams.
  • Possesses strong strategic/analytical, goal setting, budgetary management, and financial measurement skills.
  • Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results.
  • Ability to work independently and negotiate and set priorities required.
  • Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple and/or competing projects/deadlines prioritizing/reprioritizing as needed to meet departmental and/or business commitments and objectives.
  • Possesses a high degree of personal accountability.
