Job Overview

This position requires extensive travel, often ranging from 3 to 5 weeks at a time. All travel expenses and accommodations are covered by the company, along with a competitive per diem rate. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, alongside a strong work history.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility is to safely and effectively clean bulk storage containers and various industrial locations at client sites while adhering to all safety protocols, customer requirements, and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Interaction

  • Maintain a respectful demeanor towards clients and vendors.
  • Avoid technical discussions with clients or their representatives.
  • Show understanding of the customer/vendor relationship through relevant experiences.

Effective Communication

  • Engage actively in on-the-job training by asking relevant questions and executing tasks successfully.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Read and understand instructions and correspondence; ask pertinent questions and perform assigned tasks.

Documentation

  • Complete all necessary documentation, including DOT logbooks and expense reports, in a clear and timely manner.

  • Demonstrate respect towards coworkers and supervisors.
  • Show initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Exhibit reliability through excellent attendance and punctuality; work overtime as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism by adhering to company grooming standards.

  • Report errors or potential issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Utilize company resources responsibly.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 hours a day, potentially seven days a week, in safety-sensitive environments, including high or confined spaces and varying weather conditions.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.

• Maintain a conscientious approach to work quality and cleanliness.

• Manage time effectively to ensure productivity.

Safety and Compliance

• Accept accountability for personal conduct and responsibilities.

• Show appropriate concern for safety and risk management.

• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

• Use the necessary safety and personal protective equipment; follow safety protocols.

• Certifications required include air monitoring, confined space (entrant and attendant), DOT, drug-free, respiratory fitness, and completion of the 40-hour Hazwoper training course.

Technical Skills

• Adhere to company ethics and all relevant policies and procedures.

• Demonstrate basic mechanical skills, including the safe use of hand tools and understanding of assembly processes.

• Exhibit basic electrical skills, such as identifying faulty wiring and operating electrical hand tools.

• Engage constructively with coworkers and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Lift and move machinery and parts as necessary.

• Perform tasks under direct supervision.

• Travel domestically and internationally as required; a valid passport is necessary.

Job-Specific Technical Skills

  • Understand basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including identification of components and safety procedures.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of relevant equipment.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors as required by the project.
  • Complete necessary training and certifications as specified.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.

• One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses

• A valid driver’s license is required; a CDL is preferred.

Language and Mathematical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret safety documents and manuals.

• Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.

• Proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.

• Capable of addressing problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands.

• Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regular exposure to mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, and potential hazards.

• Must be able to work in a loud environment and handle various physical demands.
