Job Summary

The Maintenance Repairer will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role will support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives by ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain production machines and equipment
  • Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Adhere to all safety policies and identify and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Requirements
  • Certificate in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred
  • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
Working Conditions
  • May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust, and fumes; moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Production floor is not temperature controlled year-round
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move a minimum of 75 pounds for most machinery
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
