Job Overview

This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting from three to five weeks at a time. All travel expenses and accommodations are covered by the company, along with a competitive per diem rate. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, alongside a strong work history.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility is to safely and effectively clean bulk storage containers and various industrial sites while adhering to all safety regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Interaction

  • Maintain a respectful demeanor towards clients and vendors.
  • Avoid technical discussions with clients or their representatives.
  • Exhibit an understanding of the client/vendor relationship through relevant experiences.

Effective Communication

  • Engage actively in on-the-job training by asking relevant questions and successfully completing assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Read and understand instructions and correspondence; ask pertinent questions and execute tasks as instructed.

Documentation

  • Complete all necessary documentation, including DOT logbooks and expense reports, clearly and promptly.

  • Show initiative and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Exhibit reliability through excellent attendance and punctuality; work overtime as required.

Operational Duties

  • Capable of performing manual labor for extended hours, including working in safety-sensitive environments.

  • Prioritize work quality and maintain a tidy work area.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure productivity.

Safety Protocols

  • Take responsibility for personal conduct and obligations.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and risk management.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Certifications required include air monitoring, confined space, DOT, drug-free, respiratory fitness, and Hazwoper training.

Technical Skills

  • Adhere to company ethics and policies.
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools.
  • Exhibit basic electrical skills, including identifying faulty wiring and operating electrical tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Perform tasks under direct supervision and drive safely to job sites.
  • Travel frequently, both domestically and internationally; a valid passport is required.

Job-Specific Technical Skills

  • Understand basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Show proficiency in the use and maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors as required by the project.
  • Complete necessary training and certification processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Language and Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and address problems in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job performance requires:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Regular use of hands for handling and feeling.
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
  • Ability to lift and move weights ranging from 25 to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may be exposed to various environmental conditions, including:

  • Moving mechanical parts and high places.
