Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Rig Assembly Technician to join our team at Terra Sonic International. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and maintaining drilling rigs to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Maintenance: Assemble and maintain drilling rigs, including components, subassemblies, and systems, according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to field units, responding to their inquiries and concerns regarding the use, maintenance, and repair of drilling rigs.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Documentation: Complete and submit daily labor tickets and other required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide team members, and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Production: Meet or exceed production goals, while maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate safety and risk issues, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Certifications and Licenses: CDL A preferred, forklift operator certificate required.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret documents, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and loud noise levels. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
