Position Overview:
Harbinger Motors is in search of a talented and driven Chassis and Packaging Integration Specialist to join our engineering team.

In this capacity, you will oversee the integration of chassis components with adjacent systems to ensure peak performance, safety, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance designs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop chassis structural components and assemblies from initial concept through to production.
- Lead cross-functional packaging design teams, including high voltage, low voltage, thermal, battery, and powertrain, to ensure that design and manufacturing requirements are satisfied.
- Provide effective guidance to team members and negotiate balanced solutions.
- Adhere to program timelines and budget constraints while achieving targets for vehicle packaging, performance, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), and chassis attributes.
- Manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery of component designs that meet specifications.
- Create and maintain Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), tolerance stack-ups, design concepts, and functional safety documentation for chassis components.
- Produce detailed drawings of parts and assemblies, including Bill of Materials (BOM), dimensions, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing body or chassis structures at an OEM or supplier.
- Proficient in CATIA (V6 preferred).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and joining techniques applicable to body structures and chassis, such as stamping, roll forming, forging, and casting.
- Knowledgeable in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, mechanical stress analysis, and product lifecycle management.
- Experienced in product launch processes.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and eager to engage hands-on.
