Position Overview

As a key member of the culinary management team, the Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of all kitchen activities. This role includes overseeing food preparation, maintaining high-quality standards, and assisting in the training of team members in various culinary techniques and practices. The supervisor will also promote a positive and collaborative team atmosphere while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage kitchen personnel while coordinating food supply orders.
  • Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor food presentation and temperature to maintain standards.
  • Ensure consistent portion control and adherence to recipes.
  • Delegate kitchen tasks based on staff skills and experience.
  • Ensure food storage practices meet safety regulations.
  • Inspect kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending maintenance or replacements as necessary.
  • Evaluate staff performance through clear expectations and constructive feedback.
  • Uphold sanitation and safety protocols within the kitchen environment.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a restaurant or institutional setting, or 2-3 years of relevant experience along with a Culinary Certification (minimum of 10 months).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires light to moderate physical activity for approximately 90% of the workday. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for the majority of their shift, frequently stoop, bend, and stretch, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally, the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively is essential.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Work Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts.
  • Day and evening shifts available.
  • Monday through Friday with weekend availability.
