Holland Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead our Department of Pharmacy Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the department, implementing and operationalizing programs and services to meet the organization's goals and strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Departmental Leadership: Provide operational leadership for the department, overseeing processes for procurement, preparation, and distribution of medications for positive patient outcomes.
- Financial Management: Monitor departmental performance against budget, research and explain variances, and approve purchase orders and invoices in cooperation with the director and clinical supervisor.
- Resource Management: Assist with operational and capital budget development, maintain charge description master, and execute revenue enhancements/maintenance and required reimbursement modifications to billing procedures.
- Operational Support: Provide operational support for Clinical Services, ensuring safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Departmental Structure Service: Develop, update, and maintain departmental policies and procedures, implement and monitor employee adherence to hospital policies, and demonstrate and reinforce hospital values and customer service expectations with staff.
- Department Operational Monitoring: Execute Hospital and Department QA and QI initiatives, monitor and implement regulatory requirements of surveying organizations, and complete risk management, infection control, and incident tracking/investigation activities.
- Customer Service Management: Manage inter-departmental operational issues, provide departmental component/perspective in hospital-wide operational initiatives, and maintain and troubleshoot departmental equipment.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
- License to practice in the State of Michigan required
- Preferred qualifications include 340B Program experience, USP 797 and 795 compounding experience, Pharmacy board certification, PGY1 & 2 Residency, and Pharmacy preceptor licensure
