Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of heavy machinery to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Safely operate various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, and bulldozers, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Monitor incoming waste for unacceptable materials and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, escalating complex issues to the maintenance team as necessary.
  • Document equipment conditions and report any maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all equipment is serviced and stored properly at the end of each shift.
  • Assist in sorting and segregating recyclable materials from waste streams, ensuring efficient processing.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage heavy or bulky items safely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in operating heavy machinery.
  • Experience in environments regulated by safety standards.
