Job Overview

We are seeking a Culinary Supervisor to join our team at Haworth Global Corporate Headquarters.

The work schedule for this role is primarily Monday through Friday, focusing on dinner hours (approximately 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM), with the possibility of expanding to include lunchtime hours in the future. The position may require occasional travel within the local area as necessary. Weekend work is limited to fewer than six weekends annually. This role guarantees a minimum of 32 hours per week, with a target of 40 hours per week. Any hours worked beyond 40 per week will be compensated at time and a half.

As a Culinary Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring kitchen efficiency, maintaining food quality, and enhancing the overall culinary experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in the specified location without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Culinary Science from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of experience managing a kitchen as a lead Cook.
  • 1 year of experience in food service or executive dining.
  • ServSafe certification.
Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate:
  • Exceptional Culinary Skills: Proficient in preparing meals to meet guest specifications.
  • Effective Leadership: Ability to manage kitchen staff, motivate them, and assign duties appropriately.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Maintaining fresh kitchen inventory, proper food temperatures, and cleanliness are essential responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Head Chef to design diverse and appealing dishes for guests.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare meals according to guest specifications, ensuring accurate measurement of ingredients and proper food temperatures.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee kitchen inventory, ensuring high-quality supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain clean and organized workstations and kitchen equipment, including mopping, sweeping, and polishing.
  • Staff Guidance: Lead kitchen staff during the Executive Chef's absence to ensure smooth operations and quality standards.
  • Additional Duties: Responsible for opening and closing the kitchen, including clean-up and other tasks as directed by the Executive Chef.
