Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Environmental Professional to join our team at BlueTriton. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our site to achieve zero injuries through the implementation of our safety behavior program, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate and analyze workplace accidents and environmental incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that enhance safety and environmental performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to employees on safety and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain site-specific emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety and environmental performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, safety engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in safety and environmental program management, preferably in the beverage or food manufacturing industry.
  • Professional certification in safety, such as CSP or CIH, is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively present to employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
