About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team at ResMed. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Health and Safety Management Systems, policies, and practices in alignment with OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe workplace environment, demonstrating ResMed's commitment to safety and well-being.
  • Coordinate Health and Safety protocols, including Workers' Compensation and Injury Management, to ensure effective and timely responses to workplace incidents.
  • Assist in investigating accidents and injuries, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventative measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the management of hazard identification and incident reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maximizing organizational risk resilience and minimizing potential liabilities.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams.
  • Communicate safety policies and procedures to employees.
  • Coordinate with state agencies as needed to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a health and safety role.
  • Familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply basic theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies in analyzing situations or data.
  • Experience in conducting safety training and maintaining safety records.
