About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Support Specialist to join our team at CIRCOR. As a key member of our manufacturing process, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operations, from receiving and storing raw materials to preparing and shipping finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming supplies, including verifying quantities and types of materials against purchase orders
  • Store and manage raw materials, including bar stock, castings, and motors
  • Cut and process raw materials to meet job requirements
  • Operate power saws, centering machines, and other equipment to prepare materials for manufacturing
  • Select and arrange storage locations to maximize space efficiency
  • Operate overhead hoists and material handling equipment to move large parts and materials
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including maintaining records and paperwork
  • Provide liaison with other departments to resolve problems and trace parts
  • Prepare and package materials for shipment, including checking documentation and ensuring proper packaging and crating
  • Perform a variety of rough carpentry work, including fabricating fixtures and shipping boxes or skids
  • Develop plans and layouts for shipping containers and fixtures
  • Operate table saws, radial arm saws, joiners, and other equipment to prepare materials for shipping
  • Assemble shipping containers using power nail guns and other equipment
  • Maintain lumber inventory and order materials as needed
  • Prepare parcels for shipment, including affixing meter stamps and preparing required documents
  • Maintain carpentry shop equipment, including performing routine oiling and making minor repairs
  • Perform various manual and mechanical duties to paint units for shipping, including mixing paints and solvents and applying coatings
  • Use spraying equipment or brushes to paint finished pumps
  • Prepare and attach name plates, rotation arrows, and other tags or plates to finished products
  • Apply preservative compounds to finished products according to customer specifications
  • Package preserved parts in waterproof paper, corrugated paper, and/or foam material as required
  • Prepare and complete required documentation for shipment, including packing lists and bills of lading
  • Select proper method of transportation and assign shipments to correct carrier
  • Contact carriers for pick up and track lost shipments
  • Complete and process long and short forms, defective slips, tags, stencils, and stickers
  • Check shipping papers against customer's order for possible errors
  • Read and interpret contracts to ensure proper routing, markings, and/or MIL SPECS are complied with
  • Perform a variety of duties to store and disburse raw material, component parts, subassemblies, assembles, and pumps as necessary to support the activities of the manufacturing process
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts and specifications
  • Familiarity with power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including warehouse and manufacturing areas
