The El Monte Union High School District, established in 1901, is situated in the vibrant San Gabriel Valley. This district encompasses several high schools, including Arroyo, El Monte, Mountain View, Rosemead, South El Monte, and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. Additionally, it features the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School, recognized as one of California's largest and most esteemed adult education programs. With a workforce of over 600 certificated and 500 classified employees, the district is dedicated to providing quality educational services to more than 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12, along with 11,000 in adult education.
Conveniently located near major freeways, the district is surrounded by comfortable residential neighborhoods and various business and industrial facilities. The area serves a diverse population of approximately 200,000 residents, representing a broad spectrum of interests and professions. Many families in this community are engaged in industrial, factory work, and retail sales, primarily falling within the middle to lower income brackets.

Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must have completed 48 semester units of higher education or possess an Associate's degree or higher. A typing proficiency of 15 WPM on a 5-minute typing test is required (online tests are not accepted). Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
