Located in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, the El Monte Union High School District is a renowned educational institution established in 1901. Our high schools include Arroyo, El Monte, Mountain View, Rosemead, South El Monte, and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. We also feature the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School, one of California's largest and most respected adult programs.
Our district employs over 600 certificated employees and over 500 classified employees. The professional staff provides educational programs for over 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12 and 11,000 in adult education.
Our CommunityOur attendance boundaries serve a diverse population of approximately 200,000 people. The area represents a cross-section of interests, professions, and groups. The majority of income for people in this area is broadly grouped into industrial and factory work and retail sales.
The families who live in this area include many in the middle to lower income economic groups. Requirements- Must have completed 48 semester units of higher education or obtained an Associate's or higher degree.
- Must type at a net corrected speed of 15 WPM on a 5-minute typing test (no online tests will be accepted).
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Copy of Transcript (Transcripts must show evidence of completion of at least 48 semester units or a copy of an Associate's Degree or higher.)
- Letter of Introduction (Please address your letter to Mrs. Robin Torres, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. Include an explanation of your training and experiences as they relate to the position and explain why you are interested in being considered for this position, this letter should be dated and signed.)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Please include three (3) current letters of recommendation/reference. Your letters should be signed and dated within the last three years.)
- Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of High School Diploma or equivalent)
