You will play a crucial role in investment decision-making while conducting thorough analyses of oil and gas assets, including financial modeling and valuation.

The flexible work-from-home policy on Mondays and Fridays, along with a 9/80 work schedule, promotes a healthy work-life balance, allowing for long weekends every other week while ensuring productivity during the workweek.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis and Modeling: Execute intricate financial analyses and modeling for prospective acquisitions and project developments, focusing on return assessments and cash flow projections.
  • Project Integration and Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, land, marketing, accounting, finance) to assess potential acquisitions and refine internal project economics.
  • Collaboration with Commercial Teams: Work alongside the Commercial Team to incorporate project updates and new initiatives into comprehensive financial models.
  • Strategic Planning: Aid in transaction management, due diligence, and funding strategies for acquisitions, while contributing to the development of the fund's strategic direction in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate customized reports for financial analysis and forecasting, including variance reports to track operational asset performance against projections.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough evaluations of competitor activities, including acquisitions, divestitures, and capital market trends, by monitoring relevant investor communications and financial results.
  • Financial Input Management: Supply project economic data to the headquarters accounting team for integration into various databases.
  • Contract Review and Economic Modeling: Assess contracts and agreements while performing economic modeling for exploration, development, and operational projects, ensuring accuracy through departmental collaboration.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance, particularly within the E&P sector, coupled with robust financial modeling capabilities.

Compensation: The compensation package ranges from $105,000 to $120,000, in addition to a performance-based bonus of 40%.
