Collaboration is key, as this role will engage with leadership, various functional teams (including merchandising, revenue management, and human resources), operating divisions, specialty units, and technology groups, depending on the specific analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and align the organization around competitive advantages utilizing data and insights derived from data science, primary research, and market/customer intelligence.
  • Oversee the design and development of analytical models for diverse applications associated with our core enterprise analytics frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership to pinpoint business opportunities and formulate appropriate analytical strategies.
  • Conduct data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identify essential data elements and their sources, acquire and consolidate extensive data sets, and address any data discrepancies (e.g., missing, irrelevant, or corrupt data).
  • Collaborate with Business, Data Science, and Technology teams to ensure effective scaling and deployment of analytical models.
  • Create metrics and tracking systems to guarantee that value is derived from the implemented analytical models.
  • Coordinate a cross-functional team of analysts, business subject matter experts (SMEs), and technical resources to execute projects efficiently.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Business).
  • MBA or advanced degree from a prestigious educational institution (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment or with a leading professional services firm in an analytical or strategic capacity (e.g., Strategy, Finance, Insights).

Professional Skills:

  • Familiarity with digital technologies and a comprehensive understanding of data architectures, requirements, and limitations.
  • Knowledge of the interdependencies between front-end interfaces, service layers, and back-end systems.
  • Understanding of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics methodologies, including the trade-offs involved.
  • Strong grasp of business value drivers and the connection between modeling decisions and business outcomes.
  • Ability to approach problem-solving in a structured and logical manner, encompassing problem definition, data analysis, and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively, enabling cross-functional teams to execute effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable engaging with both technical and management teams.
