This position is responsible for managing customer expectations and deliverables, which may include developing custom solutions or advanced configurations to address operational or workflow challenges.

Technical Management: The Senior Application Support Analyst oversees troubleshooting efforts related to IT applications, ensuring the effective management of applications and associated services, thereby contributing to the department's success.

This role applies technical skills in alignment with the values and objectives of Houston Methodist, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality IT services.

People Management: The position initiates and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues. It supports and evaluates change management initiatives for assigned solutions, participates in the recruitment process for new team members, and provides feedback during annual evaluations.

As a role model and mentor, the Senior Application Support Analyst assists and trains team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Service Excellence: Effective communication with customers is essential, providing proactive updates and alerts regarding potential issues, major system outages, and change control. This role develops clear messaging for customers and management regarding issue resolution plans and their impact on departmental operations.

The Senior Application Support Analyst directs deliverables, distributes work assignments, and manages large-scale projects while coordinating regular status meetings.

Quality Assurance: This position implements and supports complex applications, utilizing technical expertise in systems analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation. It performs high-level administration of applications, ensuring quality delivery and availability by overseeing the work of team members.

The role evaluates the effectiveness of work products and participates in establishing, monitoring, and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key stakeholders.

Financial Acumen: The Senior Application Support Analyst identifies opportunities to optimize existing systems and gains consensus from customers on proposed changes, facilitating the implementation of approved modifications.

This role also contributes to the department's budgeting process.

Innovation and Growth: This position fosters an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. It actively seeks opportunities to stay updated on the latest technologies relevant to the team and evaluates potential technologies for long-term planning.

The Senior Application Support Analyst ensures consistency in process changes, tools, and practices, focusing on integration and overall system benefits.
