Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our team at Olin. As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for performing professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data, and applying accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Analysis: Responsible for overall daily cost accounting activities, M&E closing processes (i.e. journal entry preparation), and monthly reporting.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Participates in preparations for and drafts segments of financial statements and reports for financial analysis; verifies and understands business conditions and actions that contribute to financial results.
  • Business Partnership: Anticipates and assists business unit leaders in financial data and analysis necessary for decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. Master's Degree preferred. CMA or CPA certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years related cost accounting experience; preferred background experience to include GAAP and SOX policies and procedures, general ledger systems, auditing practices, and public accounting.
  • Industry Experience: Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred; chemical environment strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated Microsoft Office Products experience required; SAP or other enterprise systems experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including the ability to drive results, collaborate, manage complexity and problem-solve, and effectively communicate.
