Refugee Support Coordinator

Garden Grove California, United States Church World Service Full time

Overview:

Globally, 100 million individuals are displaced, with 27 million having fled their nations due to conflict, violence, persecution, and violations of human rights.

Among these, over 40% are children.

For the most at-risk among them, resettlement to a secure country represents their best chance for safety and a brighter future for their children.

Since its inception in response to the devastation of World War II, CWS has been dedicated to assisting refugee families in rebuilding their lives in the United States.

Through collaboration with local communities and congregations, we ensure that each arriving family receives a warm welcome and the necessary services to thrive and become integral members of their new communities.

Welcoming refugees and facilitating their successful integration in the United States benefits everyone. Refugees consistently contribute to the communities that embrace them by starting businesses, volunteering, and becoming engaged citizens.

About CWS:
Imagine waking up each day with the opportunity to transform someone’s life. Imagine knowing that your efforts will not only enhance your career but also positively impact our global neighbors. At CWS, our team is aware that they are making a difference every day. Whether you are in our U.S.-based offices supporting refugees, asylees, or unaccompanied minors ... implementing hygiene initiatives in Cambodia or rebuilding efforts in Central America ...

or even connecting remotely on fundraising campaigns, grant reports, or essential communications - you have the chance to work towards a world where everyone has access to food, a voice, and a safe place to call home.
