Position Overview:

The Event Planning Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of the Foundation's Annual Programs, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of various Foundation events.

This role involves collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of events and to assist market foundation teams in securing sponsorship funds to meet philanthropic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and management of all fundraising events, including vendor relations, budgeting, and logistical arrangements.
  • Coordinate efforts with both external and internal parties, including vendors and donors.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive event planning and logistics to ensure successful outcomes, including the creation of event collateral and marketing materials.
  • Provide administrative support in researching and soliciting both new and existing donors to enhance Foundation special events.
  • Represent the organization positively at all times, engaging effectively with staff, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, or Business is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning and volunteer management is required. Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred but not essential.

Skills and Competencies:
Ability to effectively engage and work with diverse groups and audiences. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing event timelines and marketing processes.
