Job Description

Are you a skilled engineer or environmental permit specialist looking for a challenging opportunity to grow with a state agency? We have an exciting position available in our Air Permits Team at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze complex air permit applications to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct technical reviews of projects to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to applicants, agency staff, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in technical training activities and division meetings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, physical science, environmental science, or a related field.
  • At least six years of full-time experience in environmental permitting or control activities.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
