Job Summary

The International Monetary Fund is seeking a highly skilled Economist/Senior Economist to join our team in the African Department, Western III Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing economic analysis and advice to support the Fund's engagement with Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth economic analysis and research on Ghana's economic performance and prospects.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Ghana's economic policies and institutions.
  • Collaborate with other economists and experts to develop policy recommendations and advice for the Fund's engagement with Ghana.
  • Prepare and present economic briefs and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of the Fund's country strategy and policy advice for Ghana.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in economic analysis and policy advice, preferably in a multilateral organization or a government ministry.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomic issues and policies in developing and emerging market countries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will be based in Washington, D.C. and will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The candidate will be expected to travel frequently to Ghana and other countries in the region.
