This position is in the Economic Development Administration's Office of the Assistant Secretary (OAS), directly supporting the agency's national competitions, including but not limited to Regional Innovation and Technology Hubs (Tech Hubs) and the Build Back Better Regional Challenge (BBBRC).

This position will service as a Program Officer, that will perform the following duties:

Provide direct programmatic oversight and guidance to regional coalitions and consortia that have been selected for funding under BBBRC and Tech Hubs, among other programs.

Experience in regional economic development required; specific experience in one or more critical technology industries preferred.
Ensure the national competition investments are on track to reach their key milestones while tracking compliance and risk.

Collaborate with EDA Regional Office and Grant Management division staff to provide best-in-class grant management support and customer service where appropriate.

Coordinate across funded clusters to capture best practices in regional economic development and to facilitate peer learning and connection among grantee teams.

Engage policy experts, practitioners and federal partners in the field to advance the BBBRC and Tech Hubs teams' learning agenda, deepen collective technical expertise, and help coalitions/consortia to access additional funding opportunities.

Plan, develop, and manage execution of communication strategies to grow awareness and support for EDA's national competitions. Lead ecosystem-building with policy experts, practitioners, and other funders focused on regional economic development in the United States.
